Time Management

There is very little official training or CPD in time management techniques. Whilst some propagate the myth that the corporate sector is entirely more efficient than the public sector, time management is one field where the corporate field leads the way.

Time management comes down to a spectrum: either schedule, or follow a to-do list Underscoring this spectrum is the need to do things at the right time. Of course, the right time changes depending on subtle cues, including (essentially) mood.

There exist some folk who don’t have time management systems who complete tasks. There are some who don’t and who openly struggle. My recommendation is that you refine your system so that you free up working memory and avoid needless stress.

Another aspect of time management is the need for procrastination. Completing something to time involves not doing many things to the utmost degree. You need to choose to where you will pin your flag.
