It’s been a long time since I’ve updated this website, even though I have thirty odd posts drafted. Truth be told, I’ve struggled over the past year with managing my time to take the fifteen-twenty minutes to update it with the right tone.

One thing that everyone should hear about, though, is the wonderful work of the MirandaNet community in saving the soon-to-be defunct Teacher’s TV site. For those who do not know, Teacher’s TV contains 100s of quality training videos from some of the most earnest professionals in UK.

When I was training, I found the videos suggesting approaches to teaching poetry particularly useful. Getting the kids to limbo under held-out jumpers (and in doing so have some appreciation for the AQA anthology poem’s symbolism) isn’t something I would have naturally done.
